Current pictures of my daily driver 1981 Camaro

I purchased the car in 1997 and have invested about $10,000 dollars. It was in pretty bad shape as you can tell from the photos.

DURING THE REBUILD

AFTER ALL THE WORK WAS DONE

During the rebuild, I had plenty of help from family. This is only one of 5 camaros that we have rebuilt.

During the restoration, I also decided to add a new dash. It took me 3 times to get it right, but the final

product looks nice. The gauges are all Mallory, except for the tach, which is VDO. They were the

only company that made an affordable in-dash electric tachometer.

Josh worked at DaVinci carb shop in Conroe, Texas. I started with a 650 Double Pumper carb and ended up with one that flowed 765 on the flow bench. It runs great, I get 24 MPG on the highway and about 17 around town. The engine pulls real strong, and hasn't given me any real problems in the last 4 years. I drive it every where so I can't afford to be working on it all the time. It did take me several years of working the bugs out though.
